Earl Grey Tea-- Would It Be Really Beneficial To Drink Everyday?

It seems like every person these days is looking for some hidden benefit to the different foods and beverages they enjoy, and Earl Grey tea, with its long and colored history, and the truth that it is so well known the world over, is not an exception.

Earl Grey tea is rather different from other classic teas, and it owes its distinctiveness to the presence of oils from the bergamot oil which is added to the tea leaves themselves (Chinese black tea). Having said that, the question of possible health benefits (or dangers) is a natural enough one.

Sadly, however, there haven't been any studies to date which have revealed any exclusive properties of the tea which make it any better than anything else at promoting good health (though, it must be declared that there's nothing about the tea that makes it bad, either).

On the negative side, the closest that toxicology reports may come to paining the tea in a bad light are the fact that some reports have indicated that using bergamot oils directly to the skin could cause a slight increase in soreness and skin irritation after exposure to ultraviolet light. Having said that although, drinking teas having the oil have not been shown to result in this in the slightest.

One more case study involved a man who drank a staggering 4 liters of Earl Grey tea each day, and shortly after, began reporting muscle aches. Again though, anything consumed to excess is bound to cause issues, and the muscle cramps stopped when he decreased his intake, so until you plan to consume Earl Grey to silly kinds of excess, this isn't a problem either, and should not give you break.

All that to state, drink and enjoy! No, it won't make you live longer, make you better looking, or (on its own) improve your social life, but also, it won't harm you! Drink up!

The phrase "global village" is perhaps overused, but not, I think, without reason. Technological advances truly have shrunk the globe, and it is not at all uncommon to find citizens of one country living and working in another.
